I think there’s a possibility it ends up that way. I think Fox want 8, Gillian would agree for 6, and David could do 2 on his own. I could live with that, if they’re good and we get some closure.
But I don’t think he would agree to do more than 2 without her, and clearly not a full season without her. He knows there’s no XF without Scully, and I think a big part of the thrill to do it again is to work with Gillian again. His interest would decrease a lot if she’s not here.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to hear anything during that panel. The sound was horrible. But if she indeed said that, I don’t think it has anything to do with David. They’ve both admitted they’ve been quite toxic to each other for a period of time, even if “toxic” might be a little too much to describe what happened between them, but they’ve also both admitted how much they love each other, that they have a unique and great relationship today, that they’re soulmate and will be linked to each other forever. You don’t call toxic someone you said you’ll be buried right next to him when you die, even if it was a joke.
Unfortunately, it seems like Gillian have had a few toxic relationships in her life, so either she meant a friend, a member of her family or even a lover, I don’t think she had David in mind for once second.
That’s a lot to bet! But I’m with you on the vacation theory. I was thinking about that this morning. It’s weird Gillian didn’t even retweeted Emma’s tweets for Red Nose. It’s seems like she’s taking some time off, and will get back to it when she’s back.
I can relate! I miss goofy and funny Gillian too, even if it doesn’t involve David, I miss plastic dolls tbt and Ellen mini squad. I hope she gets back to it soon!

I think so, it’s rare when we have no sightings at all for a few days, there was no airport sighting and no (real) London sightings, so it’s possible she’s still in NY. 🤷🏽♀️
I completely agree with that. I’m in this fandom, not in The Crown’s, nor in Mr Morgan’s, and no matter what happens in the near future, I will never be and I will never have to be.
All I can do, is my best to ignore him, which is not that easy lately, but will be when we finally get some answers. As an Xfiles fan, defending Peter Morgan over David seems surreal to me, and only shows that some people who call themselves Gillian’s fan, would worship anyone but David. It’s sad, but that’s the way it is now. At least, it’s clear. But thankfully, I think the major part of us love David and Gillian, maybe differently, but equally, and most of all, we know that they love each other, as friends or as lovers, it doesn’t matter. That’s the part of the equation some people who used to lose their mind watching Kimmel last year, have forgotten today.
