GA obviously doesn’t want this book to have any association with the x-files and so I wouldn’t be surprised if she prefers he didn’t publicly mention it because that’s what would automatically happen. And you know if he did, a portion of the fandom would find some fault with it anyway. There’s no winning.

I absolutely agree, anon. That’s also the reason why she keeps talking about him as her “co-star”, never mentioning his name. She compartmentalizes, and doesn’t want to be associated with The X-Files right now, which has nothing to do with her private life. But I’m sure he’s proud of her anyway, and he has his own way to show his support. 

if david is supposedly so supportive of gillian, where’s his tweet about her book? she tweeted support for his book several times. he can tweet about international women’s day, but he can’t show public support for his supposed friend and co-star? 🤔

Let him do his own thing and be supportive with his own way. He’ll have his very own copy and read it and talk about it publicly if he wants to, or not. He was supportive when he went to see her play, but he didn’t have to tweet about it or whatever. If he’s not comfortable sharing his support publicly, who cares?
