I don’t think there’ll be a live stream, but it’s a red carpet, so there’ll be photographers and fans around.
And don’t worry too much about who she brings. I just want to see her dress.
Étiquette : gillian anderson
So to set things straight you are saying that: Wall Street Journal wrote that Peter Morgan was at The Crown premiere with Gillian Anderson, the fandom took that line as confirmation that they are together and then page six wrote that article based on the fandom’s reaction?Do I get it right? But why GA, or PM never cleared the rumors? There are many ways actors can put down rumors without draw more attention.
This is exactly what I’m saying, and I’m sure Gillian or PM will take it down when they feel like doing it. Gillian never indulges rumors, but she finds her way to take them down, even if it’s months after.
But maybe she thinks there’s no rumor, or at least, that it isn’t big enough for her to pay attention to it. It’s actually basically only her hardcore fans who are spinning over and over about it. The press didn’t pick it up. Not even a little. There’s no article anywhere except on Page Six, which is nothing.
To confirm or dismiss a rumor, it has to exist outside of the small circle of your fandom, and it’s absolutely not the case so far.
You know, even if (hypothetically) GA is indeed dating PM, I still don’t understand why we, the fandom, are expected to worship him. I don’t remember anything quite like that with G’s previous partners, and with DD, when he married Tea, I think even the media were slightly disappointed (even his father said that everyone shipped D and G). Gillovny fans still want them together, look at Kimmel. When and why did it become a rule that if you don’t ship gilorgan, you are a bad fan?
That’s a good question, and I don’t have the answer. Even if it happens to be true, which I highly doubt, I will never ship them, and I don’t think I’ll ever start to like him. Does that make me a bad fan, probably not. It’s the same with your friends or partners, I guess. You don’t have to like all your friends’ friends.
OMG, I GOT TICKETS FOR BERLINALE! I’m so excited! I bought 2×2 tickets on ebay, just to be sure to really get one. Now I have 2 tickets to sell! I payed 75€. Anyone? JHH has my contact informations. (I hope it’s okay if you’re the facilitator, JHH?!)
It’s okay, but you’re on anon so I don’t know who you are!
Half the English theater is tied with each other one way or another, the whole Hollywood is tied but I didn’t see Gillian act like that before. And one logical question: how did the author of page six article could have known about G and PM when at the time they hadn’t appear together yet? Don’t tell me Netflix gave their promo to page six and not to People’s!
To me, Page Six only based their article on the WSJ article and the following fandom freak out. They have no such thing as a source, they weren’t at the events, they haven’t heard anything. It’s nothing more than what we do here: speculation. (And clickbait)
It’s not like PM works for bfi, they’re giving him an award. I think the Netflix connection is more meaningful somehow. But if your suggestion is correct about bfi then doesn’t that just increase the likelihood that one or the other will be at each other’s event that night? And why is bfi having an event on the same night as one of their movie premieres so close by?
I’d be curious to know the level of participation in this movie. It can be just a push for promotion, or it could be more.
As a British actress and writer, PM and Gillian have to be linked with BFI, somehow. PM definitely has a high level of partnership with them. They don’t reward everybody, and as everything else in this business, it’s always a win-win thing. BFI aren’t philanthropist, they must also gain something for throwing such an event.
On the other hand, I don’t think BFI has anything to do with the production of VH. I think they will be highly involved with the promotion in the U.K., though. PM’s dinner is an important event for them, every important British people of this business will attend, and if I were them, I’d push for Gillian to be there too. It would make sense considering she has an upcoming movie and probably is or will be involved in PM’s projects. So it could mean that, or I could just be reaching a lot!
I said I wouldn’t be completely surprised to see Gillian at his event, but I really don’t believe he will attend hers, though, and I still don’t think she will attend as his date anyway.
What BFI giving pm an award has to do with gillian? Bc they produce VH? I don’t get it why this is important? 😞 I am stupid I don’t understand it
It’s not that important. It’s just… linked. It’s the exact same thing that happened with Harper’s Bazaar but in the other way round. We all thought Gillian only had to be there to get her award until we found out how much The Crown was tied up to it too.
We knew Gillian was linked with BFI before, she did this q&a for The Fall there, but it could have come from Cubitt or Dornan. Now we know BFI is rewarding PM, and also backing Gillian’s new movie. That’s just… interesting.
Isn’t the BFI giving Peter Morgan an award?! And Now we find out that BFI backed Viceroy’s House?! This shit is getting too coincidental NOT to mean something. They HAVE to be tied together through work, and NOT because they’re dating!
