Peter Morgan said today that there might not be a season 3 of The Crown and that he’s in discussions about whether to go forward. So much for your « theory » that Gillian was going to star in it and / or be a producer. Simple fact is she’s only going to these events to support him because she’s dating him.

gunningforabasementoffice:

Then we’ll have to agree to disagree. Nothing of the “supporting him” theory holds any weight to me. Logic tells me a lot of other, completely different, things, and your conclusion isn’t one of them.

Also, being in discussions about further seasons means just that. Nothing has been decided and it’s being discussed.

I had the same anon. I couldn’t find this interview, so I assumed it was just a troll.
The most recent information I could find in the press was that:

<i>Reports say that the “The Crown” producers are looking for an actress to play the new-look Queen who will be in her 40s and 50s. Season 3 will pretty much require a wholescale cast change, and for Season 6, the last season, there will be another Queen, since this will take quite close to the present day look of the monarch.

I can’t wait for Viceroy’s House (the movie not the premiere) and American Gods. I miss GA and I need to see her in something new asap (plus, I can’t wait the discussion to be for something else than her personal life). What new project of GA are you most excited?

I’m really thrilled she has these projects coming too! I can’t wait for American Gods because I know already I’m going to love this show. I love Fuller’s work, the trailer was really promising, and Gillian in Marylin is going to kill me!
