I’ve been thinking so much about why I feel the way I feel, and if it was appropriate, or not… Gillian means the world to all of us, because she’s unique and beautiful and perfect in every possible way, and she also isn’t. We all want the best for her, yet we all don’t know what’s the best for her. Maybe it is PM, maybe it would be DD. We can only judge by what we see without more information, the expression on her face, and that scares me when she’s around PM. Isn’t that a legit feeling?

Yeah, I think it’s legit. Her relationship with someone else than David would be easier to accept if 1 – the guy appeared to be nice and sweet and caring and loving, 2 – if she looked madly in love and happy around him. None of that is happening. Never. So yes, we want the best for her, and yes we legit think he isn’t the best for her. Hopefully, she sees something in him that we don’t but still I will always wonder why she looks so happy every time she’s around David and so bored and unhappy when she’s around PM.

That was a good news until she mentioned PM being there with her.
But she seems to be kind of a shit stirrer, she’s also on Tumblr and she has liked every Gorgan tweets from the Emmys, including some well known Tumblr Gorgan’s, plus the fact that she mentioned Peter Morgan as if she knows his name is weird. So I’ll believe when I see it. Until then, I have no idea where Gillian is…

I think many of us fell in love with that image which has been there for decades and don’t understand the stiff, awkward, contrived, and restrained Gillian Anderson we see those days. She swears, it’s part of who she is, but we had to wait until the Webby’s to see her swearing in public like she always does.

2/2 I think it’s a little selfish of fans to demand her be the way it suits them. I’m not talking about you, but in general, people want her to fit with their agenda or personal preferences, like e.g. not dating PM. What if she finally knows what’s best for her? I’m not saying he’s perfect. But sometimes two people can come together in a way that their imperfections make them fit perfectly.

Sorry to disagree, anon. I don’t want to see her the way it suits me, but the way I think she really is, deep down and sadly, it appears to me that she keeps fighting her real persona and I find it sad. As I said, I think it’s a phase, and she’ll go back to her true-self. Actually, I think she still is her true-self on a daily basis, in private, at work, or with her children. I wish she would go back to that when in public too, regardless who she’s with. 

Didn’t Gillian say that she adopted her punk persona when she was dating a guy who was a punk. The more I think about it, the more it seems that G has no persona of her own, or she doesn’t let it show. People who claim she’s a punk, a lesbian, etc, I think just see what they want to see. Maybe she’s closer to her true self when she’s with David. That’s why with him she looks happier and more relaxed.

I think she was a punk way before she dated that guy back then. When I said she’s a punk, I’m not talking about hairstyle and piercings.
Normally, she’s rebellious, she doesn’t care about the codes, she fights for those who can’t fight for themselves and she indeed does whatever the fuck she wants but in a good and fair way. She doesn’t pretend to someone else because it suits her or people around her more. She swears on national tv and she goes to award shows in bathrobes and trash-bag dresses. She doesn’t care about the conventions. That’s the punky Gillian Anderson I fell in love with and that’s the one I’m waiting for her to get back to because I feel like this is the real Gillian Anderson, with or without David.
