This is really amazing that there were so many fan reports about gillovny sightings (do you remember when David was spotted at The Fall set in 2014 and fandom freaked out bc they actually thought that he will appear in series?), even Joe Harris’ assistant little slip… but anti gillovny keep saying we have no proof but Gillian has been seen in totally professionally next to another guy and yeah, they are fucking… like… what has happened with all respect for Gillian Anderson? Anyway…

Actually, no, I don’t remember David’s sighting on The Fall set at all. That didn’t really happen, right?

I would like to add that a celebrity in my country was married for 7 years and nobody even the press had no idea of till they divorced. And there were lots of pics of him and his wife vacationing and at parties. But everybody thought they’re just friends. I’m not saying that’s the case but we probably would be the last to know if gillovny is/was real, IF we know. But, I don’t care. I think they deeply love each other and it means a lot to me. 😍

You mentioned Hepburn and Tracy. They were in a relationship for 26 years (and living together for the last 6 or 7) and while everybody in the movie industry and the press knew about it, the public had no idea. This was possible because the production companies in those days had total control over PR and since Tracy as a devout Catholic couldn’t/ didn’t want to get a divorce, the affair was kept a secret. Mind you, in those times there were no social media so it was much easier to keep secrets.

It’s probably harder nowadays, but still possible if you know where to go and to not talk to, I guess 🙂

So i definitely dont believe in GA & PM and i really want to believe in Gillovny but its hard. The reason i find it hard to believe is because i do not know of any other celebrity couple that has successfully hidden their relationship for this long while constantly trolling but then denying their relationship. Its just so bizarre to me! Please help me believe! :)

Actually, it’s not totally true. The first exemple I have in mind is Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. If you’ve never heard about their story, you should just google their names, the similarities with Gillian and David are interesting (minus the tragic ending), and it’s funny that Gillian chose to read one ofr Helpburn’s letter at Letter’s live in 2014. I also have heard a few similar stories of celebrities hiding their relationship for a long time in other countries, I think it was @duchov who told me about a polish couple. 

But in the end, every story is different, and there’s no one like David and Gillian, and nothing like their relationship. It’s unique (her words!) and there’s definitely something more than a simple friendship between two costars going on between them, either it used to happen or it’s still happening. (probably both :D)

Do you think that it will be posible that we will get a Gillovny confirmation when they will promote txf 11? The whole thing, the whole fuckery is very *enjoyable* but I really need a happy end before I die!

I think we will get a confirmation, one day, but to be honest, I don’t believe it can happen when they’re so much on the spot. Coming out during the promotion of xf is the last thing to do, for them and their image. People will be confused, they’ll be accused to do a showmance, and they’ll have all the press on their heels. If they come out one day, I believe it’ll be more lowkey than that, when no one is really paying attention to them. But as season 11 will probably be the last one, we can have hope for the next few years. At least, there’s that. 

I feel like I’m slowly giving up on Gillovny. Change my mind! 😭😭😭

Don’t worry and hang in there! Most of the time, things are not as simple as they appear to be, which is totally the case right now. The easiest thing to do would be to give in the PM rumor, but easy doesn’t mean real. Just think, look back at the facts, ignore what has been said, even ignore what I said, think for yourself, and I’m sure you will get back to the same conclusion. They’re not together, nothing has changed in Gillovny since last January when everything was more than fine. Also, rewatch Kimmel. 

I wonder, how is your confidence about gillovny these days? And if you more believe in them being together or her being with PM? So many gillovny blogs have stopped believe that it kind of scared me.

My confidence level is fine. For me to think and believe differently than I do, I would need a whole lot more than what we have, which is basically nothing. I won’t go into everything again, mostly because I’ve already made it clear, but there’s still nothing that makes me want to change mind on Gillovny even a little.

I will say this: if PM ever shows up with Gillian at an event not affiliated to The Crown, then that would be something significant. Apparently, according to the people shipping her with him, they’ve been together since summer. If that’s the case, then where was he at the events that Gillian had between September and January? (I’m excluding HB, because, again, The Crown and Harper’s Bazaar were affiliated and that could easily be verified.) Gillian and David have appeared more often for each other at non-XF related events over the years.

I know a lot of Gillovny blogs have deleted. That’s unfortunate. It was disheartening to a lot of people when others around them felt so upset that they left. But when season 11 happens (and I believe it will), they’ll probably be back.

Loud voices in large numbers can be easily convincing to a lot of people, but it’s always wise to think about what’s being said and to weigh it against what you see, as well as what you already know. When it doesn’t make sense, there’s a reason for it. (And I don’t mean people who don’t understand professional options available to every actor, studio, producer and project.)

All things resolve. Eventually, this will, too.

i’m surprised your gillovny confidence level is so high at the moment when my impressions is that gillian is trying to keep her distance from david right now. last year she would’ve acknowledged his tweet about the xfiles jacket he saw someone wearing during the women’s march, but now, nada. even her tbt last week didn’t reference him directly, and it took her 3 weeks to even acknowledge what david and mitch had said.

I really don’t know how to say it anymore. I’m on Tumblr for a year and a half now, and I think it’s more than the hundred times I say it: Twitter is not real life.
I know there’s a lot of young people here, but please guys, understand that the way you / we use social media has nothing to do with the way they do it. David is in his 50s and Gillian is approaching. So before you try to see anything in the way they tweet, think about what your parents would do instead of what you would do!
We have no way to know how close they are through their social medias. You know, they have each other’s phone number. They can text, call, whatsapp, send a email, face time, Skype, talk face to face whenever they want. They have ALL these ways to communicate privately with each other without all their fandom lurking and trying to interpret their every word.
Everything they do or say on Twitter is for us. Not for themselves.
