remember NYCCC 2013. at the end of the panel a fan had to ask one final question and he used it to propose to his girlfriend and David immediately side bumped Gillian. three years later he looked at a golden bracelet and prayed to god he would get the same answer from her tonight. a ring would have been too obvious so West and him looked for something more inconspicuous and special at the same time. and now he was standing at her threshold and he could literally hear his heart bursting… <3

You know how sometimes D tweets pics of sunsets or random things? I have the headcanon that sometimes he’ll privately message her similar things, but add « wish you were here », « saw this & thought of you », etc. Sometimes, a quote from an author he’s read recently. Long distance can be hard sometimes, but they more than make up for it when they’re in the same place.

This headcanon is totally accepted. Thank you very much.

I just wanted to say thank you for being a positive light even when the anti-Gillovny crew seems to be getting bigger and bigger. To me, the term « gillovny » has meant so much more than just whatever romantic relationship may or may not be there. It’s about the bond between two people who have overcome so much together. No one can discount the fact they love each other, whatever that might mean. So yeah, kisses–thanks for fighting the good fight! <3

Thank you, anon. And if I can reassure you, I don’t feel like the anti-Gillovny crew is getting bigger and bigger. I feel like it’s quite the opposite that is happening. I know my Tumblr friends are gaining more and more new followers everyday, I personally have never gained so much in less time (by the way, Hi everyone, Welcome, and Sorry!) and I’m making new Gillovny friends everyday on this site! After the GG, I thought my inbox would explode with hate and trolls, but it was the total opposite and still is. People are genuinely kind, comprehensive and sweet, and except one or two funny anons, I haven’t received any hateful messages. I’m not used to it! 🙂 I feel like actually, this side of the fandom is getting stronger and more unified than ever. That’s the good side of chaos!

GG aside, why doesnt the anti-gillovny people not want Gillian an David together. Is it because they don’t like David? I saw one blog that has a lot of followers say before the GG, that she was now a Gillian blog and you wouldn’t see any updates on David. Have people no able to get past the 90’s or was it David’s issues in 1998?

There are *a few* people who seem to be stuck in the 90s. It’s really not the case of the whole fandom, I feel like the major part of us would love to see David and Gillian together, even if some don’t believe it’s happening. But yes, there are a few people who are totally against this idea. They refuse to see David for who he is and can’t distinguish the false from the truth that had been said about him. If they’d get to know him better, they would see what a great man, great father, talented artist he is, they would stop being “proud that he has grown up so much” even if he has nothing to prove to us and is old enough to be our dad (for most of us), they would stop sticking to the false image they have of him based on fabricated rumors and most of all, they would stop thinking he is Hank Moody. 

On the other side, there are also a few fans of David who for some reasons hate Gillian too. 

To me, all these people should think twice before calling themselves “fans”. If they can’t see that David makes Gillian happy and Gillian makes David happy, they have a real problem. 

Double standards… If David had been in her room while she was getting ready for the GG you’d be like « this is proof, they are together, Gillovny is real!!! » I know some would’ve said it doesn’t mean anything bla bla bla but I’m not talking about that. I wanted them to be together, I believed ISYL and your friend’s « sources » but it’s obvious it was a lie. Enough with the nonsense. They’re not teenagers, they’re not gonna kiss or hug or hold hands at an event, they’re 50 years old people ffs! p1
