you should take notice of this jhh: I think he’s observing the fandom. He’s deliberately trying to rile people up. Check out his “Journal of Fandom Studies,“ his book forward (« Seeing Fans”) his inclusion in the book “Millennial Fandom” and so forth on his website. This is an area of study for him. And right now, he’s playing people – likely for fodder/research for a book or paper. He knows nothing.

I’ve heard about this book. I don’t know how legit it is, but if he really is writing and studying fandoms, I think it doesn’t have to mean that he’s playing us. When you are doing research on a subject for a book or a thesis or whatever, your goal is not to fuck with your subject, so to speak. You don’t twist facts or alter reality. You don’t provoke situations.
Fandom is a fascinating sociological subject to write about and I think only a real fan has the ability to write about it good, which he clearly is. I actually look forward to read that book!

New theory: D&G are letting their friends out them hoping the passive approach limits the media/fan uproar

Oh god! I tried to think about this option not to hard, but I’d lie if I said it didn’t cross my mind. A lot!

So oj just admitted to everyone in his latest tweets that gillovny isn’t real. He also went further & said that he’s really talking about are Mulder & Scully, not David & Gillian. This made me Sad :( Part of me wanted to believe that he knew something, but it’s clearly obvious to me that he doesn’t know any details that we don’t know. I wanna believe in gillovny. I always have, I always will. But this definitely wasn’t an outing. OJ is clearly just a shipper fan is like the rest of us.

That’s not exactly what he said about Gillovny not being real, and he absolutely didn’t say he’s talking about MSR. He knows the difference very well.
I’m glad he answered someone who asked him about David and Gillian. Now people can stop saying they’re not okay with him doing what he does. They know and they are, so there’s that.
Also, he can tweet whatever he wants, it’s not going to take back what he said in the press. It was huge, he knows it, maybe too huge so he can only step back a little, I think.
I’ve never taken his words seriously and I’ve never really thought he knew anything for real, but he came from shipping them to small-outing them in a very serious paper who, thankfully (or not), didn’t dig deeper. That is clearly something else, and it goes and always will go beyond any tweet he can make now. He’s screwed 😀

I took it that way too. But I wasn’t joking when I said he constantly blows hot and cold on Gillovny, and he’s refreshing the atmosphere on Twitter right now, so…

What Orlando says in that interview reveals a lot. I think he’s talking serious now.

OJ is saying they’re not together, hence the « I’ll break their legs if I have to (to get them together). » He wants it to happen, but has he considered that Gillian and David don’t want to be with each other? If they wanted to be in a relationship with each other, they’d have done it already.

You can choose to focus on that. I’ll keep focusing on the fact that they want to take things slow and don’t want to commit too soon.

Ok, let’s be real. So OJ doesn’t know GA, but he knows DD, and he’s been vocal about gillovny for a while now. D could tell him long time ago to shut up about his personal life if he didn’t like it. But he doesn’t, which means he doesn’t care (and it’s probably true). That’s my take.

I took it as « a little bit of an outing » too. And it’s clearly not referencing MSR, because he specifically refers to Tea and their kids. I would think this is pretty bold to put out into print media, considering he is friends with David and costars with Gillian. Trying not to read into it too deeply but 👀. At this point if D or G had a problem with it, I think OJ would have already stopped. Instead he is intensifying. What does it all mean is the million $ question!

Tweeting from time to time is something. Trolling on Tumblr is funny. 4 paragraphs in the IndieWire is whole new level. There’s absolutely no way on Earth he would have done that if he didn’t know both David and Gillian were okay with that. No way. So… I feel like we’re gonna get the answer to this question soon. And I’m hoping we’re gonna love the answer.

Orlando said he hasn’t even met Gillian. Doesn’t he realize she’s in a relationship? Talk about unprofessional.

He’s on Twitter and Tumblr a lot. He knows about the rumor of Gillian being with PM. He talked about David not being with Tea anymore. But he still said he didn’t see what the problem was. He didn’t mention Gillian being with someone else. The journalist either. I think it says everything, anon.

But isn’t OJ actually saying that they are not together in real life? I don’t understand his words. I probably would have understood them 5 years ago because back then they would have made sense… could you please help me? Thanks!
