I feel like one.
All this Scully death and Gillian deserves better than The X-Files talk makes me sad. Yeah… I just felt like saying that.
Hard same to this. I’m selfish. I was XF to carry on with both of them because I am an XF fan first and a Gillian/David fan second. I doubt very much I would follow either of them if they hadn’t exploded into my screens as Mulder and Scully. As for needing to be ‘saved ’ from XF? Oh please. They are grown adults who are more than capable of saying no to any project they don’t want to do. Yeah, Gillian is a great actress who knows her craft well but she also needs to maintain her lifestyle – a lifestyle funded by the big bucks that have come her way from returning to TXF and by amassing a nice bundle of cash, she can now pick and choose a bit as to her next project and good for her. I’m sure that was very much a consideration when she signed back up and anyone who believes she did it for the fans, or to gain closure is barking mad! Gillian is a very smart woman who understands cause and effect I’m sure. She’s not some delicate little flower who needs ‘saving ’ from evil tv roles and frankly, I find it quite disrespectful to assume she is.

Let’s see what happened in the fourth week. *First, second, third-week summary*
This week was off to a good start when @gillianaofficial tweeted a ‘not usual but not that weird, really’ #bts tweet of dummies having sex! Yes, our first info of the week was ‘Sex for Dummies’.

Next step was a new filming location! ‘ TheXFiles will be filming at 9998 208th St & area in Langley on Thursday night (August 31). ‘

There was a random, mystery tweet of Mulder’s and Scully’s molded faces with their eyes closed (X) This may have nothing to do with anything…😂
Thursday came, and so did another #tbt, but this time it was Brick, who posted from the set. ‘ Hanging on set with my best friend!‘
Filming began near the Unremarkable House, using exposed guns!
We did get a tiny glimpse of behind the scenes from uroscertic011 IG story. (X)
And to feel absolutely spoiled after the sighting of a director chair, we did get pictures of Dana Scully & Fox Mulder’s trailers!❤️️
@5518studios visited The X-files set and posted a video about cars, trucks, and lights! (X)
Then came a cool, really aesthetic picture of David Duchovny sleepwalking on set! ❤️️😂 Thank you, @gillianaofficial
Some more night filming and lights before a long and quiet weekend, as it’s Labour Day celebration in the US and Canada. Assumptions are that there was a break in filming.

- David tweeted on Monday: “ We are donating all ticket and merch proceeds from my Oct. 14th Vancouver concert to #HurricaneHarvey.“
- Glen Morgan serves as showrunner and executive producer for Lore. The series, manifesting as a 6-episode horror anthology…. (X)
- I did find an old article – from 1994 – about The scary sexiness of The X-files by The New Yorker which was an interesting read! I’m not that familiar with the old press of the show, so those articles always fascinate me. 🙈
- Tumblr @staff is also a big fan of David Duchovny’s veggie T-shirts! (X)
- Gillian’s selfie inspired fan art by @touchedbymisha is adorable!
So yes, not many things happened in this week, BUT
This is such a weird, unique, awesome fandom that we do care about trucks, trailer doors, cars, chairs, lights, director chairs, random streets where might be something happening, random objects from the set, or some trees in a forest…anything. Really. Just give us anything and we happily take it and discuss it and make up some theories about it…!
Yes, this is how damaged we are. Yes, this is how much we suffered. Little, tiny things do make us happy. We are here for 25 years, and we ain’t going anywhere! So bring on the next month, we are ready and we are thankful!
Also, if we could get some more MSR #bts pictures, that would be just lovely! 😂👽👽

When filming stops for a week, Gillian is all set to fly home to London. Brick is agitated as she says her goodbyes. She tells him bye too. David tries to call him away but to no avail; the dog is so used to following Gillian around. Gotta let her go buddy, David tells his dog and he whines. She’ll be back soon, David promises watching her go. He misses her already, too.
Dear David and Gillian (or their people that likely read this blog) – stop wasting time, you guys define perfect together. Even David’s dog ships it. And animals don’t lie, sweeties. Sincerely, the Universe 💜

That’s great that you’re a feminist. But you seemed to agree with the anon that said « why does Gillian have to turn everything into a feminist statement. » The anon response and the person who reblogged it agreed with that idea, that she shouldn’t have worn the shirt. I was shocked to see how many people liked that post and you were one of them. Just wondering if you can explain that. Oh and I see you have « unliked » it now, maybe to cover your ass.
I’m just going to post this as an example of the kind of policing that people have taken upon themselves to exact upon our fandom. Foucault would be so proud.
(Side note, not that you deserve an answer. Have you ever been accosted by those “have a moment for the environment?”-people with clipboards? And, while you LOVE the environment, and you recycle and compost and buy gas-efficient cars and give money to the National Parks Conservation Association and the Sierra Club, you just really DON’T want to take THAT particular moment for the environment, because it’s just a lovely day and you’re talking with your friends and eating ice cream and laughing and you’re not really in the mood to confront all the social evils of the world at present? Yeah, that’s kinda how I felt about that shirt. Sorry if that bothers you.)
