I’ve been trying to get a read on Gillian’s actual thoughts on Season 11. They’ve shot half the eps so she’s at least read 5-6 scripts. She always *says* the right things but I feel like you can really read behind her words about her lack of love for some of the season10 scripts and iwtb. I mean, who can blame her with some of the material she gets these days! But from NYCC I can’t get a read. I’m hoping that means she’s pleased so far, but I guess time will tell. What do you think?

It’s always hard to tell with Gillian. You can feel when she’s very excited about a project like she was for American Gods or Streetcar or even The Fall, but it’s always very different with XF. I don’t think she does it for the script, in general, either we as fans find it good or not. I think it’s just not her cup of tea in general but she does it for many other reasons. She enjoyed season 10 not for the script for because she was going to work with David and the old crew again. I think it’s pretty much the same with season 11, tbh. But I like that either she likes the story telling or not, she’ll still put her heart into it and do her best, whatever crazy lines she’ll have to tell. 

The X-files, Season 11 – What we know so far

This is everything that we learnt so far, based on pictures, tweets, articles and of course the Comic Con. Very spoilery, read with caution. Also, nothing is a fact, of course, these are just what I think we know 😂

“You have to find him and you have to stop him before he releases hell on Earth,”

There is a lot of action in Season 11. “As the characters got older we’ve given them more action. They’ve become action heroes now.”

If we go back and see the cliffhanger of Season 10, we can exactly see where he set up exactly what happens in episode 1 in Season 11.

“On Scully and Mulder’s son William playing a pivotal role in these new episodes, Carter said, “We explore that father-son-mother relationship, and you’ll see more of William than you’ve seen in a long time.”

General details:

  • Episode 3 and 4 are gonna be crowd-pleasers according to Chris Carter.
  • There is a mythology episode in the middle, but really that could be called as a stand-alone episode, a monster of the week episode. (Episode 3?)
  • Chris Carter is working on episode 1 right now, he just showed it to the studio and they loved it. He saw the director cut of Episode 2 and the producer’s cut of Episode 3.
  • Piper was in charge of Easter Eggs. According to Gillian she is really good with them
  • CC doesn’t have a final end scene in mind, it always evokes.
  • Season 11 will end on a cliff-hanger according to him…
  • Gillian and David haven’t seen Episodes 7,8,9 and 10 scripts.
  • Scully still doesn’t have a desk, but she might “take over Mulder’s” 😂

The X-Files: Robert Patrick May Return for Season 11 of FOX Series

Speaking to TVLine, X-Files creator Chris Carter teased a possible appearance by Patrick in the show’s upcoming 11th season:

“I actually wrote him into an episode. But then I found out he wasn’t going to be available to us [because of Scorpion] so I had to write him out of the episode… Scorpion is his first priority. … That’s not to say you won’t see him this season…”
