We don’t know what’s gone on behind closed doors but if Gillian was asked the reason why she hasn’t put herself forward to write/direct an episode of S11 is because it’ll probably be an extra work load she doesn’t want. It was obvious she found Scully from the past very hard to find in S10. And also I’m going to put it out there but All Things wasn’t the best. And after the shambles of S10 there’s a lot of hard work ahead to improve this season. It feels like CC’s heart isn’t in it 😱😬🤐🤢

I don’t know where CC’s heart is, I’m not even sure he has one, but I don’t think Gillian’s heart is in it. I think she wasn’t completely in it for season 10, but at least, there was the thrill to go back to it after so long, work with David and all the old crew again. But now that the thrill is gone, now that she’s putting this fight for female writers out there, I’m a little scared about the filming and what will happen during it.
It’s just a bummer that she hasn’t done that a few months ago and worked on writing an episode. “All things” wasn’t the best episode, but if we could have 10 episodes as good as this one, I could totally live with it. Sadly, I dont think she has enough interest in XF to write or direct one. That’s the irony of all this.
