JHH help me feel better… This promo is giving me LIFE but then someone posted the pic from the clothing donation site where it says « gillian’s final performance in the x-files » she’s said this before..but not so officially ike this right? It’s bumming me out so much. I feel like once the show successfully premieres maybe she will feel differently? It’s odd bc I feel like she’s having so much fun. and then the scully death thing.. guys she’s IMMORTAL.

Oh and one more thing.. Just a reminder #freegillian folks .. she is a strong, intelligent, woman perfectly capable of making her own decisions. If she doesn’t want to do something, guess what? she won’t! Period the end, now shut up and let’s enjoy season 11 bc as much as I would hate to see it end.. it might be our last…

I don’t take this article as something very official. It’s her bio on a charity auction, and I don’t think it’s more official than any other article. They just rewrote what she said in various interviews lately about season 11 being the last one but it’s also what she said numerous times for season 10 and yet, here we are. I will believe it’s the last one when Fox say it officially.
As for the freeGilly thing, I think it’s already out dated. It was a stupid thing to say and actually quite disrespectful towards her. As you said, she’s a grown up who can make her own decision for her own career. If people don’t like XF, they don’t have to watch it. No need to make it about Gillian being captured against her will in a show that will pay her millions and give her exposure to millions viewers each weeks for months as a leading actress all around the world. There’s nothing good about stepping out of that, especially if you’re enjoying this job as much she seems to do.

Gillian’s career don’t need xf to have exposure. The show ended in 2002 and she’s still here today! Do you remember she has a career outside of xf?

Do you? That’s a genuine question. I do, because I’m a fan and I’ve been following her career forever, but does anyone outside the fandom remember what Gillian did from 2002 ‘til The Fall in 2013 besides maybe IWTB? So I’m sorry, but I really don’t see how this “free Gillian from XF” could be in any way a positive thing to say for her. How about “let Gillian decide what’s good for her own career” instead?
