Sorry I was confusing with my ask. What I’m saying is, what if in THEIR minds they think him going to the premiere with her this weekend would « out » them unquestionably whereas what happened with her attending the other events with him was more « safe »? Just because he doesnt go with her this weekend won’t mean they aren’t together. I am heartbroken about Gillovny and I’m finding it hard to believe PM is nothing to her. I hope so though. It’s just that all the evidence is there. :(

Where are the evidences, exactly? Did I miss something? He’s not going to her premiere, he’s not going to show up at any of her event, maybe she will keep showing up at The Crown events when he’s there but that’s all. They have a professional relationship but as he’s not involved in her projects, he will never show up with her. That’s what I think. Wanna bet?

you’re saying that if pm doesn’t go with ga to her premiere it means they aren’t a couple right? because mark always went with her? but what if her and pm aren’t « out » and they know that him going with her would solidify their relationship in the public eye? i really want to believe in gillovny, but after the gg i’m having a hard time. that and the fact she doesn’t troll david whatsoever on twitter anymore. it went from 100 to nothing. seems super strange to me, no?

There’s something I don’t understand because after the Globes, if you believe they’re together, you might as well believe they’re out. If not, I’m lost. 

Part 1. I am Gillovny and find it very hard to believe all this stuff about PM and GA. But there is one thing that I really think is strange and makes me sad … When it all started, there was an article about GA dating PM secret. I did not believe the article and found it is very unlikely she would tell a friend and the friend having to reveal it to a tabloid. But as time passed and she was sitting next to him, came to the premiere in London and later to the Golden Globes with him ..

I can find reasons for everything else but not the gossip story is it a coincidence? But then again quite the coincidence .. I find it hard to imagine her with PM but this just confuse me. You are really good at analyzing things, you remain calm and has previously reassured me so I thought I’d ask.

That’s weird that’s this gossip article which bugs you the most. To me, it’s the most insignificant thing of all this story! 🙂

This article appeared right after the WSJ one which said Gillian was there with Peter Morgan, at The Crown Premiere. Of course they didn’t mean “with” as “together”. WSJ is a serious paper, with real journalists, and they’re not going to out Gillian with whomever without her knowledge the authorization of her publicist. It was a way for them to mention The Fall arriving on Netflix US at the same time (because if not, what’s the point of talking about it in an article exclusively about The Crown Premiere?)

After this article, the fandom started to freak out, interpreting it in a wrong way and of course, the day after, one gossipy website had to pick up the story. If you look at the “journalist” page on Page Six, you will notice that he also wrote an “article” about the Women Filmakers’ luncheon Gillian attended. He wrote it as he was there, which, of course, isn’t true, and that’s probably were he supposedly heard Gillian telling her friends about dating PM. None of this happened for real. This journalist wasn’t there and can you imagine Gillian Anderson being at such an important networking event, giggling like a teenager about her new boyfriend? That didn’t happen.

And by the way, the same day, Gillian had an event for her book with a lot of writers and celebs. But where was this new boyfriend? 

Ok but what if we find out she’s with PM, what should we do as a fandom: be happy for her no matter how we feel? ignore the relationship and continue to post about Gillovny? say how we feel about PM even if it’s not always very nice things? ❓❓❓😕

Bah… That’s likely not gonna happen. But if it happens, I guess every feeling is okay. We have the right to be sad, angry, disappointed or whatever. We have the right to not like him too. I never will and hopefully I won’t even have to try.

I don’t have a problem with Gillian dating Peter, in fact I’d be over the moon because she’s my fav actress and he’s one of my fav writers ever since The last king of Scotland. But I don’t see heart eyes on that video. I see Gillian. Gillian communicating with a guy. To me, she looks the same when she was talking to Mitch on comicons. And I’ve been to ophthalmologist a few days ago, so I can’t blame my eyes. The shit between them is weird. And not in the aaaw they are in love way. Just weird.

Do we all agree that the « if that were David she did those things with at the gg you would all say they’re together! » argument is one of the most laughable? We don’t need to hypothetically swap P for D because we have 24 years worth of actual heart eyes.

Most of all, I think this perpetual comparison between David and PM needs to stop. None of the relationship she had or has can be compared to the one she has with David. They’ve both been very vocal about how unique and unexplainable it is.

If you (it’s a general you, I don’t mean you, anon) believe she’s with PM and believe she’s never been with David, then you should compare her relationship with the official ones she had. With Clyde, Rodney, Julian or Mark, never we had any doubt she was in a relationship with them. It was crystal clear from day 1.
Wanting and needing to understand what’s going on with PM actually doesn’t have anything to do with wanting to prove or dismiss Gillovny, at least, it shouldn’t be the case. If you look at the way she was with her previous partners, husbands or lovers, there is something wrong with the way she behaves with PM. If not, we would all be on the same page, no matter who we want her to be with. There is something that doesn’t fit. It’s a fact. I just want to know what it is.

IF she will not bring him at the premiere it will still mean nothing! She may not want to expose her relationship that way or draw away attention from the movie. She is extremely private person. Don’t be naive!

Anon, are you for real? They can’t be more exposed than they’ve been at the Golden Globes, because… It was the Golden Globes! It’s her movie, she has a leading role, it’s important for her, if he’s her boyfriend, he’ll show up. If not…

I don’t think so. If you look back, the rumor has started around last October, which means, if it’s true they’ve been dating at least since last summer. He had plenty of occasions to show up at one of her event. They live in the same town, they were in NY at the same moment, but he never did, so I don’t see why it would change right now. I’m fairly confident for this event, we’ll see…

Regarding your answer to an anon that G’s premiere will settle things for good: do you mean if he shows up then you’ll believe they are together and if he won’t you believe they are not?

It means if he doesn’t show up it’ll reinforce my beliefs that everything she’d done with him so far was for more for his show than for him, and if he shows up, it means I’ve been wrong all along, which I will have to accept.
