God! I wish I had that level of denial… but I’m so much Scully for any Mulder in the world… my brain just can’t erase those pics and everything else… I still don’t believe in a relationship based on love bt them but still I see it as a relationship. And JHH shame on you for not being delusional enough… how can you guide all of us back to the sweet dreamland of gillovny if you can’t be in denial? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Haha! I wish I was there too. Denial land is such a good place, but it was painful to get out from there, so I’m not going back. I just envy those who still are. They’re warned though, the longer you stay there, the harder you will fall! 

So you have few pics, out of context, ridiculous, without the reason, without even kiss, touch, tenderness, nothing… and a lot of other things which have absolutely no sense. And portofino wasn’t coming out how you naivety thinks (that’s why I think you know nothing about PR), everything was set up and it was clear that they wanted to sell this relationship. You ARE naive. As the whole fandom. Ppl don’t think for themselves here and they change they opinions without real reasons all the time.

They will be there before August 8. In Agust 7 is David’s birthday and I still believe they are together. Something happened, for some reason they set up this whole thing with Portofino, and then with Rome…. if you had your brain back you would notice that. She is still with David. And Portofino was to make people believe she isn’t… it was a farce! I guess you know nothing about PR strategies, what celebs do to hide or protect their business and lives… And they do it in Portofino LOL

I know a bit about PR, anon, it’s part of my job, so don’t worry about that. There’s still maybe 1% of my being believing all this was a smokescreen so when Gillovny come out, everyone will believe it’s new and recent and no one will question their past, which could be problematic. But that’s the crazy insane 1% of my being speaking here. The rational 99% of me tell the 1% to shut up and remember those pictures and that even for a smokescreen, Gillian (and David) wouldn’t have allowed anyone to touch and kiss her private parts this way. And at this point if the 1% turns out to be right, I’ll be happy for 10 minutes and then think about how far it went. 

But I love your optimism…

You guys think we’ve rarely seen David and can’t tell how he is? Has everyone forgotten seeing David happy in selfies with fans? Or rappers? Or at a basketball game with his son? Or at his book talks? At cons? Bringing up Gillian happily! He was very happy (and glowing, at times) each time. Gillian also glows when she isn’t around NoName. She’s happy and relaxed. She wears the bracelet, watch and choker. They LOOK happy and it can be SEEN. Maybe this is why the other anon is confused.

To be fair, it’s been a long time since we’re seen Gillian on a public appearance. We barely had footage from Glastonbury, she cancelled the panel in Maine, and I don’t even remember when was the last time she did a real interview or anything that would show her face for more than 3 minutes. So it’s really hard to say how she is right now, if she’s glowing and happy or not. David didn’t look ¨that* happy at the SDCC, but that’s his face whenever he does a con without Gillian. He wasn’t different when he was doing them with Mitch, for example. He’s a moody deadpan man of few words, so I didn’t see anything wrong in his behavior during this panel.

So I don’t want to jump on conclusion based on pretty much nothing to say how bad they’re looking right now. Filming starts in 10 days, it won’t be long since we get a hint of their real mood. 

I’m not sure if Gillian or David is that fine. They’re good actors. Imo Gillian is far from fine. She’s beautiful anyway but she’s nor fine. Whatever reasons for fine isn’t the correct adjective. And David, well we saw him few times the last half of last year so we don’t know. He seems a little nostalgic but ok. They’s adults and we all know that life is more than a love story that ends not so well. We all know that happiness comes is many ways. They’re off at this point. I hope they light up.

That’s why I said I look forward to see them interact with each other again. Things will probably be a bit different, but it’s hard to tell with the very few appearances we had lately.

(1/2) Can I ask an honest question that I haven’t really seen any Gillovny believers talk about or explain? If you believe David and Gillian were together at least 2-3 years (this is how I think most days) them why the @#&! hadn’t David looked broken up and why hasn’t Gillian? I’m so confused. I noticed most Gillovny just switched their thinking and said Gillovny was never real, Gillian played us and Orlando wanted publicity. I don’t agree with that but I’m so confused. (more)

(2/2) I talked to my girlfriends and we all agree that when wet break up with our boyfriends (and some of us have had multiple year relationships) we show it and don’t go back to speaking warmly about our exes for years. We definitely wouldn’t want to work with them even if our sex was great. I’m so confused. Gillian’s fine. David’s fine. I’ve read people saying he let her go and he’s happy singing and writing but that’s dumb. He’s human not a robot. He’s got feelings. See why I’m SO confused?

That’s a really good question. That’s probably The Only Question. And I have no answer to that.
They were fine at The Webbies, but it was before Portofino, so I look forward to see them together now and make sure they’re still fine. David isn’t the kind of person you can easily read, so except if he looks like 2008-skinny-Duchovny, it’s hard to say in what mood he is. But I agree that if they’ve broken up, it should show at some point, especially when spending so many months together.
I think they will remain two professional, though, and try to separate their private life from their job, but either you believe they’ve broken up or they’ve never been together, I think we will observe a shift in their dynamic. Things have definitely changed a lot since the last time they filmed together and I’m pretty sure we’ll see that in their behavior in the next few weeks.

I’m not originally in the Gillovny fandom, but I got hooked and I read your blog on a daily basis now. I never felt like I was legit enough to send you an ask, but since you had this fan of The Crown anon and we’re talking about fandom colluding, I thought I’d go for it. I’m a fan of Orlando Jones, I love his humor and his talent and the way he interact with us, fans is amazing. I came across the Gillovny fandom because of his ship on Twitter, and so I discovered Tumblr and your blog because he

(2) because he interacts with you sometimes. You’re quite famous in his fandom if you didn’t know that before! I wanted to write you because I understand that there’s different community in your fandom, and as I see it the fans of Gillian Anderson have treated Orlando Jones very poorly. I read some virulent insults against him from bloggers who were so proud of themselves to shit on him. I know you never did that. I never sent them asks, but I still would like to understand why. Orlando LOVES Gillian. He worships her and he never fails to talk about her with pride and care. He loves the idea of Gillovny too, which is a beautiful idea based on love, respect, and deep feelings. I don’t know how one can dislike this idea. Anyway, I digress, I just wanted to say thank you for being nice with Orlando Jones, and thank you for your blog. First of all, don’t apologize for your English, no one will blame you for that here! And then, thank you for writing me, you’re as legit as anyone else! I love Orlando to the moon, not only because of who he ships, but I love his acting too. He was great in American Gods, I wish we would have seen him more, and it’s funny because just yesterday, I watched “Madiba” where he plays Oliver Tambo, and he’s really good and moving in it. 

I despise the fuel he got from some people here, and I do not understand it. He’s a shipper. We’re all shippers, and there’s nothing wrong in it, no matter who you are, famous or not. I read some crazy stuff such as he was supposedly an anti-feminist who was trying to decide what Gillian should do with her body and who she should sleep with. Or that he was using Gillovny to gain some popularity. I found all this beyond stupid. He’s a fan who happens to be famous, so his voice reaches more people than ours, but how is it a problem? Being a fan, and being a shipper is supposed to be fun and entertaining, and that’s what he is. He never disrespected neither Gillian nor David. You’re right, he worships her and he’s friend with him. He even said they’re both okay with him publicly shipping them, so it’s really not for us to judge. Those people who were insulting him appeared to me as jealous and petty for nothing. They don’t have his talent, nor his popularity, nor his relationship with David and they wish people would follow them as they follow him. They run blogs for Gillian to see, which won’t happen. Based on nothing but their hate, they think Gillian isn’t okay with Orlando Jones doing what he does, so they throw shit at him. They don’t realize that if she indeed, wasn’t okay with it, he would have stopped a long time ago. 

I’m just happy and grateful to have him in our fandom. He doesn’t take Gillovny as seriously as we do here, and he’s probably right! He doesn’t give a shit, he lets his inner fangirl out, he’s not hurting anyone, and he doesn’t allow a few haters to get under his skin. I love him for that.

But you know, you shouldn’t be angry at those people. I always feel like when you can’t disagree with someone without throwing insults and dirty words everywhere, you’re always the looser and I feel sorry for you. If they can’t understand the concept of being a shipper, they’re really missing something beautiful. Painful sometimes, but beautiful still. 

And there you go, @theorlandojones, you have real fans in this fandom 🙂 (just stop saying the word Gillovny, please. You can’t pronounce it, and no one is allowed to. Never. Thank you. :D)

This morning I woke up with a very bad mood and everything is a pain today. In days like this I used to think ‘at least Gillovny is real’ and that used to cheer me up a little. But now? Do you REALLY think they just broke up after a few years, both are totally fine, dating other for a few month or years and then will be back together? Actually I’m more with the theory that all was just a PR thing and GA and DD just the great actors as we consider them. After GG last year when we first saw PM…

…you were so devastated, but now you seem to be fine that they are not a couple. I’m still not. I’ve lost an idol and the greatest lovestory of all turned out to be false and just a PR trick! How can I enjoy anything of GADD in the future?! Please tell me sth to cheer me up! Just lie and tell me in the end all will be fine and they will be happy together!

I don’t think things are so simple, and I must admit that I’m quite confused about what could have happened between them. But we will never know and there’s nothing we can do about it but wait. I truly believe they were together for a few years, and that it was serious, and I believe that because I cannot forget what we’ve seen, what I thought was true, the story we all read and the ones I’ve been told. I refuse to believe it was all a lie, and most of all, I do not think for one second it was just PR. Their relationship has never been about PR and will never be. They’ve described it in such genuine and sincere words that they couldn’t have faked them.
I was devastated like the rest of the fandom, but yes I’m fine now. We all have different way of coping with that, and I think you’re still grieving, which is okay, but in the end you’ll be fine too. I’m ready to enjoy season 11, enjoy their dynamic no matter the status of their relationship and wait. Because I truly believe they’re each other’s end game. So it may take months, years, I don’t care. I’ll wait, and I’m convinced it’ll happen again and this time, we’ll know for sure.
