Hello X-philes,

I’m pretty sure all of you remember the glorious night of the famous Webby Awards! When Alien Baby Baby Mama and Webby Best Actress Gillian Anderson approached the stage in crutches and accepted an award from her friend, David ‘one arm in a sling’ Duchovny. It was a great moment in our fandom.  

As a celebration of this event & to congratulate @gillianaofficial for her win as the ‘Tenacious, cool-headed Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson’, we would like to invite you to participate in our first raffle.👏👏

Mulder and Scully hold hands at the end of Hollywood AD? And they are really flirty all the way through the episode with the giggles and laughing. Omg I can’t handle it! Is this what people mean when they say the season of secret sex – are we supposed to assume they are together???

That and the fact they’re always smiling and giggling and staring at each other during season 7. Something happened between season 6 and 7, and they’re totally doing it in every episodes. It’s not showed, but you can feel it. They made William in “All things” anyway…

Did u ever rewatch the x files and half way through an episode you start to wonder why it is so different from how you remember it… and then it dawns on you that you totally replaced the episode with fanfic?i gotta cut down on that reading-but tbh here is a big shoutout to all the fanfic writers who are just awesome!

It happens all the fucking time I rewatch All things. I’ve read way too much fanfics about this episode. It would also probably happen if I’d ever rewatch every single episode of season 10. 

Hi, I wanna say first I love your blog, and you bring me some joy. I’m not so vocal in my Tumblr, but I wanna share with you what I heard today about season 11. Frank Spotnitz gave a lecture in Milano (Università Cattolica), he spoke about his work as a showrunner. In a separate session with press and authorities, he answered the question if he will work to season 11, and he said at this time he could not speak about that. In same way Gillian did. (part.1)

(part. 2) I read this answer in a positive way… maybe X-files season 11 is closer than ever, and Frank will return as an author (I hope so). Love

Do you love The X-Files as a fictional universe or you just love M&S?

I love MSR, I love the stand-alones (not all of them, but still), the first mythology wasn’t too bad, the second one is a mess and the revival mythology is… well… Mulder’s dying on a bridge under a huge spaceship! If I didn’t know anything about that show and I only watched the revival, I think I would have wondered if it was a joke or a parody. :/

The X-Files is the best love story ever on television. If you think it’s about aliens, you’re wrong, Chris Carter.

My ask is not Gillovny related but I hope you answer. If The X-Files go forward beyond CC involvement who do you want to take over it and why? Do you want the new showrunner to be an X-Files alumni (Morgan&Wong, Gilligan, Shiban, Spotnitz etc) or you want someone new? What do you think it can benefit the show more? And do you believe G & D will agree to come back if CC is not involved?

Unfortunately, I don’t think David & Gillian would be easy to convince to do some more if Chris isn’t on bord. They’re both ridiculously faithful to him. There are many writers of the show that I’d love to see as a new show runner, I think Vince Gilligan is the most qualified to do the job, and some of the good writers need to stay because they’re all the soul of the show (Spotnitz, Bowman, The Morgans) but I think I’d like to see some newbies, I’d like to see a woman, I’d like to see a fanfiction writer (I’m not even kidding!), and I would love to see Shonda Rhimes resolving some UST (now I’m kidding)(maybe not).
Also, I wish they would let David write and direct an episode. I love the way he writes MSR, and I think he loves to do it. I’d love to see what Gillian would write too. I’m not convinced she would like to do it, but we all need to know what happened right after All Things, and I think she would be the best to tell us on a flashback episode or something.

I was wondering when you started watching xfiles, was it a dubbed version? And if so did you cry tears of joy when you saw the original version years later?

Yes, it was in 1994, it was dubbed, and most of the time I didn’t even have the sound because I had to hide in the hallway to watch it when my parents thought I was in bed. It was PG-10 in France and I was underaged. I actually started to watch it in English when I bought the DVD set, 10 years ago, and it was pretty hard at first. I had to force myself! For some reason, when you start watching a show very young in a dubbed version, it’s hard to go back to the original one. I still can’t watch Buffy in English!
